Bombay Versus New Orleans...

Got this via mail today and am still not sure whether it gave a feeling of vindication or just made me feel plain bad. I think it's a case of comparing apples and oranges though. Sure the US govt has done an awful job of search and rescue, but as to Bombay being up and about in 2 days, the problem with New Orleans is it's strange geography, being like a bowl with most of it being underneath sea level, with all the levees and everything, its difficult to get the water out. However, it is true that after the floods, there were no gun-toting thugs wandering the streets of Bombay, raping and looting. So yeah, I guess in some aspects, Bombay did manage to get it all together much better than New Orleans did...
